Fishing Season Calendar

For fishing in:

Victoria waters offer a very mild climate year round, which also provides for excellent year round fishing, regardless of season. With our beautiful summers and mild winters there are excellent fishing opportunities all year. With the high-speed capability of our awesome 25' sport fish cruiser "The Killerbeas" it allows us to hit all the hot spots until we find the fish. (Although we've got a pretty good idea where to start looking.)

Victoria/Sooke

Victoria waters offer a very mild climate year round, which also provides for excellent year round fishing — every season is fishing season! It is an unbelievable fishery just minutes away from Victoria's downtown Inner Harbour. With our beautiful summers and mild winters there are excellent fishing opportunities all year long. With the high-speed capability of our awesome fleet it allows us to hit all the hot spots until we find the fish. (Although we've got a pretty good idea where to start looking.)

Otter Point

Otter Point is another fishing experience that promises to please. When the fish start stacking up here put on the fighting belt, "limiting out" is not uncommon with lots of fish over 30 pounds coming in. Once again there is a certain window of opportunity within a 2-3 week period when fishing is unbelievable. With the added distance we have to travel for this trip we like to allow at least 5-6 hours so we can spend adequate time in the fishing grounds. As we travel a long way from home, this trip is weather permitting.

Port Renfrew

Port Renfrew offers fishing opportunities that most can only dream of. We fish Port Renfrew for 2-3 weeks only, usually in late August. The fish gather at the mouth of Nit Nat Lake where it opens into the ocean as they ready to go up to the river to spawn. This is one of the most exciting fishing experiences Vancouver Island has to offer. A typical 10 hour day could include a trip offshore to Swiftsure Banks for some world class halibut and bottom fishing and then wrapping up it up with some trolling or cut-plugging for Chinooks up at Nit Nat Lake.
